Philatelic Study • Research • Scholarships
The Texas Philatelic Association Foundation, Inc. was created to encourage study and research in all areas of philatelic endeavors. This objective is achieved by establishing scientific laboratories, reference libraries, scholarships, and/or grants. Grants may be made for the publication of any study, with reimbursement to the Foundation out of the sales made.
As an example, the TPA Foundation makes makes nominal cash advances to TPA member authors for publication of their philatelic research works. An annual grant is also made to the host of Texas Philatelic Assocation's TEXPEX stamp show, in order to help with expenses.The TPA Foundation may engage in other educational and charitable purposes in order to maintain its status with the United States Department of the Treasury's Internal Revenue Service as a 1.501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation.
All donations to the TPA Foundation are fully tax deductible. Contributions are welcome at anytime, but may conveniently be made when applying for membership in the Texas Philatelic Assocation or when paying the annual Association dues. Suggested donation levels are: Sustaining ($5), Patron ($20), or Sponsor (over $20).
